Looking for a quality bipod to switch between my ARs, M1As and Savage 110 FCPK and have settled between these two. Lots of guys seem particular to the Atlas but GG&G seems to be quality and less expensive. Opinions please?

I have a GG&G on my DTA SRS and Love it. It is without a doubt a very sturdy and well build pod. Strong as hell, Readily Available, and Less Expensive you do the math...

The panning feature is handy even when you're not using it for movers.
At a recent match, my shooting position had a bunch of shallow wheel ruts running at about a 20-30 degree angle to the targets, I just panned the bipod to sit in the bottom of the rut and shot.
Otherwise, I would have been trying to make one leg 4-5" longer than the other, trying to get things leveled out.
At first glance, you don't notice all the little things that make the Atlas work so well, but the more I shoot it, the more I see them.

That reminds me, I had a position from a curb which allowed me to load the bipod on the curb but the angle only allowed one leg to touch. After every shot, it would throw my sight picture off, so I had to put my rear bag in between the curb and the front of the bipod to reduce the recoil on the single leg. With all that said, I tried the same shot with an Atlas swiveled so it was perpendicular with the curb, and made the shot and saw the round impact without using the rear bag as a recoil mediator.

I believe the new GG&G (which is really a Bobro) also pans.
About the only thing on the Atlas that bothers me is that it loosens up over time. Other then that, I like how it makes the the rifle recoil different then a Harris. At least to me it does.

JCH none of the Atlas pods attach to a stud, they all have to go to a rail. Bacarrat, Kasey has fixed the Atlas to where they dont loosen up if you pan, its the Hellbender mod that was done to them and he will update any bipod to the most recent config for no charge. Kasey is 100% G2G

There are 2 GG&G's. One is the standard version,the other the HD version. The HD swivels and pans as well. Lots of little pieces on the GGG,but very well made. I've had an Atlas and I just didn't take to it. The GGG would be perfect if the legs were spring loaded for deployment. my .02

I chose Atlas, on Kasey's character alone...
That being said, I own neither, but have used an Atlas. It's a fine product, and Kasey's support of the Hide, competitions, and various charities gives the Atlas the nod for me.

I bought an atlas based on recommendations here. It's a great bipod worlds better than the Harris bipods I had prior. The only improvement I would make is for the feet to roll a little less on concrete. Casey was responsive when i had questions.

I have an AI AWSM and am using the Atlas bipod with the Atlas AI spigot adapter. I am very happy with it.

I have both and I 'm in for the Atlas hands down , also I know Kasey in person and he is a good guy not just like those rude and uneducated folks at GG&G .

I have both as well... Atlas is more solid, stable and seems to track better on my AICS.

I find the Atlas to be much more stable, and at the end of the day thats what matters most to me.
I like that the legs lock down rather than are simply rotated down and held in position by the spring.
none of my harris pods had a podlock, so I like the atlas feature to be firmly locked in any cant/rotate position
The 45' down position is quite useful for some shooting positions.
and subjectively they just feel built better.
I shot better the very first time I used it, there is no way I could go back.

Khan, no comparison. The pressure you can put on the Atlas to load it up it night and day with the Harris. Also the tracking on movers is MUCH smoother.
But you will pay for those differences. The Harris is <$100 and the Atlas is >$200 plus you would need a rail ($20) for your 700.
