Git Lite is good stuff man, just do yourself a favor and pick it up. Saves a ton of weight, without losing the stability. Absolutely a no brainer to buy it.
I've been running it for about 8 months now. I played with one of Chris' bags at a PRS match in Montana and decided to swap out the fill in my Gamechanger.
Really liked it, so then I swapped out my BLAMM bag. At this point I'm thinking it's the way to go. Its money in my BLAMM, the weight reduction is fantastic with no loss of performance versus heavy fill beads.

Anyone have a lead on where to buy this stuff other than directly from Git-Lite?

@Mxridr I'm running it in my udder bag you should try it out next match... the weight savings is incredible but as you know I've likely got the lightest rifle being run in our club match (13lbs) light rifle and light bag hasn't been the most stable combination in some situations . Still a fantastic product
It brought my OG game changer from over 6lbs to about 2lbs. I’ve shot 2 matches with it and a few range trips. I love it! NO RAGRETS
Fantastic stuff! Works great for positional and prone. Seems to hold up really well over lots of use and long term use. It’s one of my go-to shooting bags
I might be in the minority, love the weight savings, but hate the stability. I found the sand and regular fills to be more effective than the Git-Lite in stability.

I have been practicing with my GC filled with Getlite for a couple weeks and can not say I miss the weight. I think there may be just some extra security feel when holding it, but when I plop it on the barricade and mount the rifle I can not say i miss the heavy. I know my pack feels better.
I bought some fill from a company called SpexLite and it is their 5125 fill. I bought enough to do a large GC, but haven't bought a large GC yet. Going to get a waxed OG GC to try it in. I am running a mini GC and like the stability of the heavy fill. If this stiff is legit, I will probably get another mini waxed GC to put it in for a lighter hunting bag.
I too liked the weight savings ( bought a GC with Git Lite fill ) but just not the same stability as the heavy bags. I normally go between the Waxed GC, Waxed MFC and Pint sized GC. To me there’s quite a difference compared to the light weight fill. The Only way I can describe it as a more jumpy wobble with the Git-Lite. With the heavy sand what movement I have just feels slower and not as bouncy. Know that sounds silly but it just appears as a different kind of wobble on barricades. So for me I’m still hauling my Waxed GC and Waxed MFC.
It's never as stable as the heavy sand. Nothing is as stable as that.
But, Git-Lite is very close, and I think just about as stable as other fills. There is a difference, but how much is kinda personal to decide on the weight savings.

I too bought a pint size with git lite to carry while hunting, and man is that thing nice. I don't feel it conforms quite as well as one with heavy fill, but the difference is minimal.
Sorry for resurrecting a month old thread. I recently bought a shmedium gc and refilled it with git-lite. It was 9 lbs. 4 oz. and is now 1 lb 8 oz. I ended up filling it closer to 75-80%. I had it closer to 90% but the rifle seemed to settle better with less. I'll need to actually shoot it rather than dry firing.
I'm kind of hijacking this thread, but still the same topic. I want to buy my first bag and the waxed game changer seems to be the most popular. Besides the pint size and the regular size now there is a medium. Which would be the best first bag and which fill?
Unless you’re humping it around the mountains on an elk hunt or taking it to Mammoth, get the regular fill or maybe sand.
Honestly though it’s all personal preference once you learn what you like.
Pick up a game changer, regular fill. If you are going to do hiking and shooting, get the lite. If you are just going to do normal shooting, the heavy fill will get job done, prob the best design. You can always buy the lite fill later, which is what it did. I got rid of my pint sized gc. I do like the waxed, but I think it's a preference thing. They all work good.
If you're looking for a bag to start with the new Schmedium is great for matches as it combines the sand fill of the pint size with the larger surface area of the OG. We have a few in stock right now.

I would get the large bag of git lite fill to make sure you have enough, or reach out to git lite or Armageddon gear to see if their small bag is enough to fill a schmedium.

Well I filled the schmedium with the small bag of fill and it's I'd say a double shot glass from being full. Gonna shoot a match Saturday and report back but just did a few dry fires before bed time just now and it felt about right
Gitlite is a specialty fill which I only use on matches where you need to hike a lot.. I let my youth use it on regular matches because a 13 yr old can't maneuver a heavy bag.
The smartest thing I've seen with gitlite was at a Guardian match, where a top shooter used it in a bag which was attached to area419 plate. He basically took out the heavy fill and used gitlite. He didn't take it off his rifle all day. I plan on doing the same in November when I go to Guardian GTI.
Aside from that, I'll 'nut up' and use the heavy shmedium. I will be filling a 419 bag w gitlite for GTI in November and to help my daughter learn how to handle a bag during transitions.

The thing about light fills is they need to be firm to work well. GL appears to be a foam fill with a coating on it to make it more firm. But it’s still not really “firm”. Our light-ish filler compacts just like sand and is just as stable. It gets as hard as a rock when it compacts. It’s not as light as a foam fill but it has the stability of a heavy fill with 1/2 the weight of a standard fill. Send it back if you don’t like it. We’ve sold a bunch of it and haven’t had any returned

I have git-lite and just received the PURG light'ish fill. I took the heavy sand out of my AG bag that affixes to the greyops mini plate and replaced it with the PURG. It's rock solid like the sand.

Right on man we appreciate the feedback. If the PURG is the same as the heavy sand just ask yourself if the heavy sand was any more stable than the GL. My bet is that it is; maybe not on a wide prop because almost anything will work if the whole bag is supported. But on something with leas surface area I bet it is.
Nobody should hesitate to get this stuff its great, I have replaced my standard fill in my gamechanger og, schmedium and pint sized with Git Lite. I do however have a couple bags with sand because in some situations i just like it better, my mini plate pad is sand and I still have a schmedium with sand.
With your AG bag that affixes to the Gray Ops mini plate which fill do you prefer? I have the heavy sand in mine and at 4 pounds it just throws the balance off for me and makes it awkward.
I guess it looks like whatever my indented purpose is, will need to consider the options. Thanks for the feedback
I've been running the Purge fill in my AG Schmedium and AG flat bag with Grey Ops Mini Plate V2 since shortly after last posting in this thread. I like them both, good compromise in weight savings and stability. Getting the fill just right took a few trial and errors but it's all good now.
Glad it’s working for you. Getting the fill level right is important. Less is typically better. The stuff gets really firm when compressed so having space inside the bag for it to confirm is key.
Do you prefer the Purge over sand in the AG flat bag with Grey Ops plate? How much do you get in weight savings?
I've been very happy since replacing the sand in my flat bag with Purge.
