Hi, and thanks for accepting me. Looks like a ton of good info. I have been a long time shooter, but only handguns. Looking at getting my first target rifle. Thinking of a .22, because here in northern Virginia, it is hard to find ranges longer than 100 yards (and even those are difficult to find.

I have been reading up on all the great information here, and looking at all the options.

One initial question. Below everybody's names, there are labels (I think you call them trophies?). Is there somewhere on the site or forum that defines what those mean, how one gets to another level, how many post that means somebody has made? Not that a thousand posts means one person knows more than somebody with 100 posts,, but I'm just curious. Thanks all, and looking forward to getting out on the longer ranges.

Elite in Manassas is an easy to find 100 yd range. Peacemaker, north of Winchester, will take you out to 1200+.

Welcome to the Hide! As far as the labels/trophies, I don't have a good answer for you. There is a thread discussing it and best I can make out when wadding through the BS, is that it is largely a new thing that is still in the development stage.

Thanks. I asked Lowlight, and he explained it. Belligerents are full members. I paid to use the PX, so I got the Hessian title. The Private First Class is status for number of posts. I think he said they go in 100 post increments. He said there will be a post explaining it all when they make some modifications and figure a few things out.
