Gunsmithing Glass bedding

Just curious has anyone experienced point of impact shift after you had a rifle glass bedded In a new stock?

your point of impact may shift from its original pre bedded state. However it should be much more repeatable after bedding.

I pulled the action and barrel with scope on it off my original stock and bedded in the new McMillan it was zero at 200 with the original stock now its 1” low at a 100. I was scratching my head on it wondering if its normal

Completely normal. Re zero and call it a day.

Thanks had a lot of rifles over the years this is the first one I ever had bedded.

Have you noticed a improvement in repeatability?

Re adjust zero and continue logging dope

Yes we re zero it and all is good. Shoots really well and Probably better than Im Capable of shooting. It’s been a 3/4 MOA gun on all most every outing.
