Hiders...

I have a G23 (Gen 4) with the factory Trijicon 3-dot sights. I believe they are model GL01. Since i am a cheap bastard, I'd like to just replace just the front sight with a thinner, more visible, front sight. I was looking at the Ameriglo GL-212-165-125-OR-C. The problem I'm running into is the height. According to Trijicon, my current front sight is .144" wide and .150" high. The Ameriglo (and any other front sight for that matter) only go as low as .165" high and .120" wide. So the width is good, but its taller which will affect my POI lower.

Has anyone replaced just the front sight and kept the factory trijicon rears? I dfinitely want a Tridium dot and orange high visibility coloring around it. I also have the glock front sight tool.

Thanks in advance.

Aaros... I may end up going that route.

Hermosa... I thought of that, but i can bugger up a simple task quick. I also would like the high viz orange on the front sight.

Yes! Thanks hermosa! The Trij HD XR is what i want. According to your diagram, the front sight height is .016" shorter than the rear sight. I guess this is normal for Glock combat sights for poa/poi, since this is the same difference on the Trij sights set from the factory.

The shortest front sight from Trij or Ameriglo is .165" or .015" higher than my current front sight. This means that if i replace the front only and keep the original rear, my poi will be lower than before, which I don't want.

Great price on Amazon!

Thanks again!
