danb, what shop did you take it to? Likewise, if it is doubling it sounds like something else was done to the trigger besides just replacing the connector

Not to come off the wrong way... but are you sure the double fire isnt a shooter error?
I ask because I have seen people use to standard triggers fire "decent" and then under a tuned trigger have control issues.

I agree with Knight. The improvement in the trigger could affect the reset and it is possible this is shooter error. This is not meant to be an insult to you but I have seen this on the range when people shoot a pistol with trigger improvements.

I've had this problem before but just with the ghost rocket connector and it would double now and then switched to a lighting strike connector and never had any problems.this was on my production gun and have since shot thousands of rounds with no problem.

The way a Glock trigger works, I don't see how a double fire could be possible. Granted, I'm far from an expert, but I thought one of the built in safeties would prevent it.

I don't get what's wrong with a stock Glock trigger anyway. It's not a 1911 and the trigger isn't bad AND it's consistent. Leave it alone.

Don't get me wrong... I have an M&P45 that I put a trigger upgrade in but, M&P's are notoriously horrible triggers.
Every Glock I've ever owned has been consistent... that's what I love about them. They're all the same.

I tried several methods. I tried squeezing and keeping it held in and I tried letting off. It double fired each time. It even triple fired once.
Yes, springs were changed. I don't want to mention the shop just yet. I have 2 springs in the bag.

get a couple other people to shoot it so you can rule out shooter error.

Based on the OP's description, this is clearly not a shooter related issue.
I have had the same thing happen with a G19, although it was not with a Ghost connector, it was after a "$0.25" trigger job that was just using some Flitz to polish the engagement surfaces of the stock trigger bar, connector, firing pin tail, and firing pin safety. When I did a dry fire function check the pistol would consistently "fire" (firing pin released) during trigger reset. I didn't bother live firing it as I knew it was a no go. Ultimately replacing the firing pin safety (thankfully the cheapest part of the four) fixed the problem.
My situation was a bit different from yours but here are my recomendations:
1. Stick with factory Glock parts. The competition style triggers/connectors/firing pins can be tempting, but they usually result in trouble. The Glock (-) connector is a great connector, and that is all I will use or recomend. The only non-factory parts I use are a Vickers Tactical slide release lever, and 10-8 sights. Aside from those and a grip texture job everything is stock. I will do some light polishing of parts, but I always check function afterwards.
2. Do your own work on your Glocks. It is easy enough to learn, the tools are cheap, and it gets you more aquanted with the inner workings of your pistol. You will also know exactly what has been done to yout pistol. Maybe your gunsmith did some additional polishing to your trigger parts and that is what is causing your doubling issue?
For now go back to stock parts, and check your firing pin safety to see if it has been modified. Going back to stock should fix the issue for now. If you want a lighter connector, go with the Glock (-) connector.

+1 to what elephantrider said about doing your own Glock work, super easy and cheaper than paying someone. A Ghost trigger install is as easy as removing the slide, pushing out pins, and pulling the assembly out. Your not the first on having issues with a Ghost trigger, but a lot of the time other "modifications" like polishing and such go along with it. I've had 3 Glocks with Ghost triggers and have never had issues, but I don't do any of the cheap trick trigger jobs either.

Thanks. I am just north of Gadsden. I dropped it off at the shop today and should know something tomorrow. They said it was no big deal and they would make it right.
I just got my " gun room" built. When it is completely finished I plan on learning the easy stuff myself. Thanks for all the help.

The factory glock safety plunger has a crisp sharp edge that you can feel when you pull the trigger past that point or when you reset the trigger. Some aftermarket parts such as the titanium safety plungers sold by various places you'll notice have a very smooth rounded edge making the trigger hard to hold at the reset point without refiring. I'm thinking the person who did your trigger job may have over polished something. Luckily the parts are fairely cheap and easy to replace. Google glock safety plunger and look at the different images and you'll see what I'm talking about. I've experimented with lots of the aftermarket parts and while I've never had a true double fire, this seems to be similar to what I"ve experienced before as well. It's an easy fix either way, your shop should take care of you.

We are trying to help. I don't give a crap what my post count is. I have multiple Glock armorer certificates and have fixed a lot of issues like you described. My Fail comment is just that. Since Glocks are simple a lot of people do silly things to them that they don't really understand.
Like we posted, altering the relationship of the crucifix and sear, over polishing the firing pin safety, etc. A lot of us have seen this and more.

Thanks for all the help. I didn't hear back from them so I plan on calling them today. If they haven't fixed it yet I will likely just have them put it back to factory. I won't trust it if they don't.

I had a similar issue, I replaced the factory with a 3.5# Ghost connector and went an Insights pistol class. after 500-800 rounds it started to double and after that would send of strings of 3-6 rounds (my cheapo G18 lol. The instructor shot it and got the same results. I replaced the original and had no problems. I know many people who made the same switch with no issues, so maybe I just got lucky...

Got it back today. Apparently the connector had a flaw from the factory. The short end that is bent at a 90 degree angle wasn't bent far enough. It looked like it liked about 10-15 degrees having the correct angle. He put a new one in. Then he test fired it 15 rounds and no problems.

I plan on " learning" a lot now that I have my gun room built. The wife didnt think gun cleaner and oil was good on the granite and there is too much junk in my shop to try it in there. But look out now!!! Lol
