I own a Glock 27 and I have put about 500-800 rounds through it since purchasing it but I am starting to notice the plastic chipping away where the end of the recoil spring is touching the plastic, is that unusual for it to wear like that? I posted pictures below for reference.

Perfectly normal for that Glock. It has a thin metal end to recoil assy., right? Anyway, mine has some wear there, more actually, and then there's also wear where the spring itself has rubbed against the dust cover. It has more rounds downrange than yours. I have others that have metal guide rods with more wear but they work fine. It won't wear through if that's what you're thinking. Don't worry about it.
