looking for input...my leathers took a real beating this year busting brush. I've alwyas been a big fan of leather outers with a wool glove liner like the old military flight gloves. I had a pair of the USMC manzella? liners but have since lost them and since the primrose took a few bites out of my fashion conscious leather outers this year, it's time to replace. (they were black dyed deer skin outers with cow skin palms, deer skin on the trigger fingers and thumbs)

My feet stay nice and warm - and my head has it made...my hands are the last thing on me that when they are cold i'm useless and bitchy. I like the tactile grip i get from a good leather glove soaked with snow-seal - but i have to have a good liner - my hands sweat something fierce. If i cup my hands on a cold, dry windless day, you can watch the steam coming out of my hands.

what are you using (and provide links if at all possible?)

Re: Gloves...

im a puss when it comes to my hands. all i do is use a pair of neoprene gloves with thinsulate outter, which you can buy at gander mountain. they have the flap that folds over to expose your bare fingers for when its time to shoot. but then i also use one of those "tube" like things you can buy at gander mountain aswell. just slip my paws in there with gloves on and my hands stay tolerable. im sorry i dont have any links for it all, but im sure youd find them easily if you have a gander in your area.

Re: Gloves...

know exactly what you are talking about. I just wish neo didn't make my hands feel cold and clammy. there are days I have gotten by with one of those tube things too, as long as my hands stay dry. the minute they got wet (snow, blood, snot, etc...) the tube was useless to me.

Re: Gloves...

+1 on the underarmour gloves - I use them duck hunting and running the boat into and out of the blind, that's about a 20-30 minute ride, with wet hands, on a Go devil tiller. You may be wet, but you are warm enough. When I get there, I pull them off, hands in pockets of parka, gloves loose in pocket. Dry in 30 minutes. I might also dangle in front of heater in blind for faster dry.

Re: Gloves...

i just buy the bulk packs of jersey gloves and carry a extra pair or two in my pack. my hands get a little wet no problem just swap them out. they are cheap (loose them all the time). offer good finger dexterity and are plenty warm. they make lighter ones and heavier ones.
