Like the title says, what are good mags for the bravo chassis? I picked up a Tikka CTR and have a krg bravo on the way and can’t wait to get it. I have only ever really ran stock mags on stock guns so not sure which to get. Thanks

Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle Magazine .308 Win Black Ruger 90353, Really an accurate mag for half the price.

I also like the MDT 12/10 rd mags. But I am gonna have to do some filing/bending to get them to work in my Tikka MPA setup.

Just a heads up if you are new to AI mags, you will have to mess with feed lips to get any of them to run 100%.

What caliber are you running, and are you handloading?

If it's a 6.5 CM, the Tikka will likely have a long throat, and you need to find the mag with the longest OAL you can. You likely won't get anything as long as the CTR mag, so you could still end up being hamstrung as the throat erodes.

If it's a 308 or something along those lines, you are probably fine with the cheapest reliable mag.

If you are looking at poly mags stay away from the Magpuls.
Tikka and Magpuls do not play well together.
They are more headache trying to sand and fit them than they are worth saving a few dollars on.

It is a 6.5 Creedmoor and I do not reload yet. Planning to in the future when the midget allows.

I have never used them before. Always had stock guns with stock mags so not exactly sure what I am getting in to.

Why do you need midget permission? :ROFLMAO:

For factory ammo, any of the decent AICS mags should work.

For reloads if you're trying to chase the lands by .010, .020, 030, etc., then you could run into issues really quickly with non-CTR mags. The problem is the long throat on the Tikka rifles that pushes your OAL more than a standard-ish 6.5 chamber. And as the barrel is shot and the throat erodes, the problem will only get worse. I'm about 1,000 rounds into my CTR's factory barrel and running an OAL that isn't supported by any AICS mag that I'm aware of.

My CTR mags can be loaded out to 2.95 barely and you can order AICS mags from MDT and ARC without binder plates and reach 2.96 to 2.97.
I'm in the process of putting together a 6.5 PRC so shot a couple of pics with the 2.95 PRC in the MDT w/o the binder and the CTR.
