There is only one variable to determine if she gets arrested. If she wears a mask she would not be arrested for contempt of court. If she does not wear a mask, she would be arrested for contempt of court. The mask is the one variable to determine if she gets arrested. She is therefore being arrested for not wearing a mask, the charge is irrelevant.
Getting back to masks. People around here wear them all the time. Its like, they believe, they are rescuing themselves from acquiring serious illness. Guess no one ever told them, the masks only real capability is to keep an individual from spreading germs, not preventing the ingesting of same.
Checkout most masks. Enough air space around the corners to allow plenty of bad stuff to enter. Oh, the new breed of masks so resemble dog muzzles.

There were a few stories, in that video, but the main story about the intoxicated woman arrested in her home, if it occurred as presented, is absolutely an example of bad police work. Hell no I don’t support that.
I’ve never said there were not bad people in LE or that there weren’t bad cops - if there weren’t, it would have been wrong of me to arrest them or participate in the process to secure their convictions. But not all in LE are bad people or bad cops; very few things are a pure dichotomy. Most things are a bell curve.
If the bad cops are not called out, shamed, reported on or arrested by the good cops, then there are no good cops, only bad cops and cops that enable bad cops.
This is not a new problem. I remember well when Abner Louima was raped with a broom handle while in NYPD custody. And the blue wall closed to protect the sodomizers. If there were any good cops in the NYPD, then they failed to do anything during or after that event. Nope, they enabled the bad cops, so they could not be good cops.
It's only got worse over the years. I view cops like car dealers. Sometimes you gotta use them, but I never trust them. I wasn't always that cynical, but I guess I've seen too much over the years. The "Us & Them" mentality. Calling folks "civilians", like they are something else. Well, unless you are subject to the UCMJ, you're a civilian, just like me.

Considering the constitution is supposed to be the law of the land and the gov’t being unconstitutional itself while having fake as fuck elections, engaging in murder via covid protocol, theft via over taxation and intentional inflation, money laundering, weoponization of the “law” including housing political prisoners, funding and assisting in a foreign invasion, and the fact that LEO work for this same unconstitutional gov’t at some level while serving and protecting the tyrants at the top and postering against those being fucked, it would be hard to characterize any participant in this system as “good” especially those that carry a gun to ensure it stays this way. Maybe statist and accomplice would be a better way to describe them instead of “good” and “bad”. Just a thought.
I couldn't view the video. However, as long time resident of the state I have to say a lot of good people live here. Unfortunately there aren't enough of us to do anything about the cluster fuck that surrounds the intersection of I-40 and I-25. Yank that part including from a little north of Santa Fe and down to just below Belin and drop it in Mexico and we would be good. NM has been corrupt every since the spaniards showed up to take it away from the indians and has only gotten worse.
I live in the southeast corner, the area the northern liberals look down their nose at and sneeringly call either the third world or little Texas. However they are ready to take every tax dollar we send them and then basically get hardly anything in return. I can't wait for the next oil bust when that 40% of the state budget we contribute dwindles to almost nothing. There is going to be a lot of hand wringing, crying, and complaining when the budget has a huge shortfall and the state constitution does not allow us to operate without a balanced budget. Hey, Michelle, you are a blowhard so get out and blow on the windmills and generate some of that green energy you are so fond of. Take the democratic part of the legislature with you.
You can find nice, decent, friendly people in ever part of NM. They are just rarer in the area I mentioned.

It's interesting that someone commented that no one was arrested for not wearing a mask, that they were arrested for contempt of court. Well no one anywhere ever was arrested for not wearing a mask as the mandates are not laws on the statues and are not enforceable. However plenty of people were arrested all over the country on false charges such as tresspassing, and disturbing the peace, due to not wearing a mask, and they had to face fines and jail time. The judge had no right to require the mask in the court or to charge with contempt.
