Good quality DPMS type 308 BCA

I am planning on putting together a DPMS type 308 rifle but have not been impressed with the DPMS 223 parts I have seen. Does anyone make a good quality, DPMS pattern 308 bolt carrier group?

check out Fulton Armory, I've heard good reviews, but I haven't used anything myself. I have two mutt DPMS rifles, one uses the original parts, the other got a Noveske/Armalite makeover. Both work great, but I looked at Fulton's stuff a couple times.

A big +1 for Fulton Armory.

I used their upper and BCG on my build and happy doesn't even begin to describe how pleased I am with the quality.

In fact, I'll use their upper, BCG and lower next time.

you can get a dpms BCG from JSE surplus for cheaper than anyone ive seen. mine was very nice. i dont have a dpms ar15 so i cant tell you anything about the BCG quality there, but my BCG is all top notch. oh, $210 is what they were a month ago

Are you "planning" or do you already have DPMS parts? I would recommend going with ArmaLite parts and a Noveske barrel. Im not a professional in this area at all but I shoot my buddy's and it runs great.

I have a standard DPMS with a Fulton barrel and is shoots great!

I don't know what you're specific complaints would be about the DPMS parts, but the factory parts in my DPMS .308 cause me no concern.

That being said JP parts are second to none and usually are a bit better value than some other names.

To be honest, any BCG will do just fine. IIRC GAP uses DPMS ones. If its good enough for them, its good enough for just about everyone else.

Just find the most inexpensive one available and you will be more than happy.

I'm gonna go with the JSE surplus DPMS BCG. Great price, even with the 15% off over at Foolem' Armory. Foolem' does have a nice 5/8x24 thread protector that I'll pick up for $15.50 along with a 308 LPK sans trigger for $43...

i had to make sure i had bought mine before i shared that JSE link, not selfish, just gotta get mines first

their chrome was as cheap as others standard BCGs. look at some of their stuff, i got items from them that were cheaper than wholesale at brownells. and they keep getting more stuff too
