Good tangent ogive 6mm bullets...

what 6mm are we talking about? i shot a 6CM for a few years and my choices would be...
#1 115g DTACS
#2 105g berger hybrids
#3 107g SMKs
#4 108g ELDMs...i have not shot the 108s personally but i do know a guy that is and loves them.
the 105 hybrids were always just a tiny bit more accurate but the 115s at 3050 are hard to beat plus there is not doubting if you hit or miss steel at longer distances...they hit almost as hard as a 6.5 bullet.

Building a 6 Creedmoor but I will probably be loading down to 6 Dasher speeds, 2950 or so. I know the 105 hybrids are where it's at but I'd like to shoot a less expensive and easier to find bullet.
Load the 105gr Hornady BTHP. Sure it’s not the best in the BC dept. and they should be sorted before loading but they shoot true through the life of the barrel.

I don’t have the elite experience as many on this forum but I’ve shot close to 3k of them. I use to sort by length/weight but due to my busy schedule I just sort out the outliers by weight. I don’t have a room of trophies but that’s not because of the bullet. You can find deals on them for 19 cents a piece and will most likely shoot them same score as if you had shot the premium bullets. Do load work up at 20 thou jump. Identify your node and enjoy

Sorted how so? Does the weight vary a good bit?

I have shot a lot of the 105 BTHP in my .243 and never sorted a one. Load them and they shoot great. You don't need to sort them. I have won a couple of matches shooting them like this. They are really an underrated bullet that people pass by.

The 108 ELD is another good bullet that you won't have to chase the lands with. I shoot them in my 6mm Creedmoor. Use them in that as that is what the factory ammo I shoot in the rifle uses.
