Prayers sent. That was a beautiful horse! Animals are better than humans in my opinion. I damn sure like em more than most!
Losing a beloved animal hits hard like losing other family. So sorry, but sounds like you gave him a great life and that’s all we can do for their very best existence!
We rode all over the country. He was a rescue had been horribly abused before I got him
Sorry… a good woman, a good horse, a good dog and a great cat are irreplaceable…

My dad, me and my son. All 3 horses in this pic have moved to greener pastures. They say, if your lucky, you get one maybe two great horses in your life. That mare on the right was mine. I was there when she hit the ground.....trained her....chased cows and beautiful places with her for 26 years. She taught my wife and my kids to ride. Sure do miss her.......
i understand your sense of loss even though i am not a horse guy. OT and doubt it will help you at this time,but,your knowledge of horses is and will be very valuable in the future i think.
the future that i and many here see will make the knowledge of breeding,raising,training and caring for horses most valuable as it was in past times.
you can take what you learned from and were taught by this guy to stand you in good stead later on.
