I had to use a bushing to get the needed 5/8-24" thread. It was function-tested over lunch today, so it will get some cleanup work.

Re: Got bored last night

How does it work? I know that revolvers are less than idea hosts for suppressors, but interested to hear your review!

The Nagant revolver is unique in that the cylinder moves forward when firing allowing the case (the case extends past the bullet) to engage the forcing cone of the barrel creating an effective gas seal. So it works very well as a supressed platform as long as you don't mind the horrible ergonomics and terrible accuracy.

This is the sole reason that I own a M1895 revolver actually...

Cool project, did you get the 32acp cylinder for it or are you shooting the 7.62 Nagant ammo?

Nagant ammo. I have shot 32 S&W Long through it, which works fine, but because the case doesn't extend to the forcing cone, it is MUCH louder.

Re: Got bored last night

I seem to recall a very in depth article in shotgun news about gunsmithing the nagants for far better accuracy and trigger pull. That sounds like a really fun project though.

Some of the rounds are 32 S&W long, which aren't fully suppressed.

The cover is a TAB gear SAS.
