Me and a buddy of mine are going shooting this Wednesday and we are looking at something further than 100yards. We live in Cincinnati and just are looking at target shooting that's it! Lookin for something < 20-30 minutes away. I don't have anything to offer cept some trigger time with a Crusader.

I'm sure you already know about Rayners and TVP. Rayners is probably about 2 hours away but does have steel out to 1000 yards. Nice flat 200 yard separate range for sighting in if needed. We usually get down there every couple of weeks for practice/tweaking and the matches are on the 4th Saturday & Sunday of each month. Usually 60-70 shooters shoot the match, all levels of shooters and all sizes of targets to shoot at. Be glad to have ya spend a practice day ringing steel with us. Tom charges $10.00 each shooter for the days use of his facilities. Benches at each location.

Going out again... Ended up at Spring Valley. Shooting paper at 100 yards is getting old anywhere close by would be great!

I have a place north of Wilmington. You can do around 700 I have steel hanging if you want to shoot paper you have to bring your own stuff. Let me know

Yeah it sucks...but a new range has sprung up and things are now looking up.

I guess I should feel blessed, I too am looking for land and I am a member at 600yds. Of course people have land but back drop is terrible.

So you are a member at Miami gun club?

In the next year or two I am looking to purchase some land but trying to hone in where. Obviously a lot comes down to what I can afford but also not to far from civilization. Would like to eventually build on it. Then like you said not too flat. At this point I would take a place I could just shoot 100 yards off my back porch for load development. So tired of driving a hour to test ammo. Was testing ammo at spring valley but they recently closed it for a year to update the range.
