Got motivated and painted my Tacticool stock today

Well it was nice and sunny today so I decided to paint my Tacticool stock.
I used Camo flat O.D green,brown and black spray paint and did it in the sun so that the dry time was quick. I just kept working it until it looked just right.I'm pretty happy with the results.

Thanks. Just grab some different branches, grasses or ferns from your area and test them out on some plywood to see which you like the best.
I held the yew branches right on the stock and just sprayed in quick bursts and just kept on lightly layering different colors until it looked right.
Honestly don't worry about it if you don't like the end result just repaint it all one color.
I never cared for the Boyds O.D green that much and figured I'd give something different a try.

Thanks ! I keep wondering if Boyds is offering them on a limited basis to make everyone rush to buy them out lol.
With their popularity Sandrat maybe you'll get one on the third time's a charm limited run

They still have some left (depending on which rifle you have), however they aren't $79 anymore, they're $158!!

I just got mine in today, and I love it! Now I almost feel that I have to send off my bolt to get a aftermarket knob on it.

you can just buy the knob, its DIY install.

OP, nice paint. i saw the kidd action and my butt puckered up at the thought of painting it, glad you just did the stock.

That's funny as hell Axe. Yea I'm not serious enough about camo paint jobs to paint anything Kidd on my rifle.
When I get tired of the look its easy enough to change it up again to something new.

looks real real good. when i did my first stock i over thought it and by some of the posts here yall are doing the same. its real simple just maintain your distance with your spray can and your good to go

Completly agree LS. My thoughts were if its painted already how much damage could I do anyways
