The amount of hidden taxes these days are far greater than when I first started buying shit in the 50's. I get that, but, this Country has been hemorrhaging F'n tax money out of this Country for decades. Soo....we're just getting some of our tax dollars back, before the .gov finds some 3rd. I do agree with you and would like to see this Country deficit free, but, if the .gov wants to hand our tax dollars out, I'd rather see it come to US, so we can spend it on OUR economy, instead of letting the .gov use it to fatten some Warlord's pot. He is being sued by several dozens of creditors. That's how he has made money.

Don’t get me wrong, there are people who are struggling due to no fault of their own (other than failing to prepare for a rainy day but I digress). Waiters, airline workers, strippers, retail workers etc need help and as a compassionate society it’s only natural that we help them through these tough times. But we don’t need to spend $2-6T to do that. $0.25T could probably cover it and then some.

Poor people don't owe. They get a "refund" exceeding what was skimmed off their check. People with some money would sooner give their checking routing number to a guy holding a cardboard sign at an intersection than the IRS. JMHO.
