My thoughts fwiw is that at low power you aren’t using the reticle to hold, and if it’s far enough to need to hold you spin the power to *15* and hold as needed, my point being, it’s only 15x, and if you need the reticle to hold off then you probably need the mag too. (Assuming vortex didn’t do something stupid like make it subtend correctly at 14).
If the turrets are tactile and repeatable this will also be a really good scope in MOA for the NRA AR tactical class competitions.
(edit) I just went and looked closely at the specs on the scope. This is what I think is about the perfect hunting scope. It has enough magnification for reasonable hunting ranges, it has a reticle that will allow holdovers and isn’t some silly BDC that fits nobodies ammo. It has a 42/44 sized objective that lets you get a decent cheek weld without having an adjustable stock and I doubt if he remembers it, but I know I have asked Ian why Vortex didn’t make it at least twice in the last five years.)
