I must say, its a beast! Firing it compared to a 5.56 AR is like comparing driving a Prius to a Corvette. I love how light weight it is even with 20 rds of .308 loaded. I only had time to shoot it at about 50 yards but I was making 1-2 inch groups standing with the first box of ammo. The ergonomics on it is great and everything on it just feels natural. The flash hide works great, although it makes it quite loud when you stand to the side of it while someone else is shooting. The only thing im not a fan of is the fact it has unique mags. My opinion; if you have $3k to waste its not a decision you would regret.

mushy to say the least? </div></div>

To be honest I didn't have enough varied shooting to get a good feel for the trigger. But I have heard that the trigger is one of the things that gets upgraded first.

Nope lol. Too busy spending money on my AR-10 and wedding CRAP. But in the future who knows. For $3k theres alot of options I would have to look at. But for those who really love the way it looks versus other rifles its not a bad choice.

I bought an FNAR for 1/3 the price or less.....because I can't afford a SCAR 17.....or SCAR 16.....but yes, it was still a Cadallic/Corvette compared to AR-10's. $50/mag, who cares for how awesome these FN's perform.

To those who can afford, GAP-10 or SCAR 17? I was liking the REPR, until I saw one go back to LWRC for accuracy issues, as I've read others here have to do as well.

That's not a common occurrence kimber, don't let em fool you. REPR's aren't "known" for "accuracy issues."

That's good to know. I've seen this a couple times over the last 6 months at my ffl. And I know I've read of it on at least 2 or 3 threads on this site. Maybe those were the exceptions to the rule.

And just like a corvette they are a status symbol. You can pour a bunch of money into an early 90s supra and get the same performance for half the price.

Something with that price tag needs a better trigger. The ergonomics are just as good as an ar-10. Drop a nice trigger, piston system + buffer and you have the same rifle without the folding stock but with a better trigger for about $800 less.

DI is more accurate and perfectly acceptable for most people. For a mid-range patrol rifle that is piston driven i will stick with my ak.

Any piston driven system will be a 1-1.5 moa gun at best. The only accuracy issue i heard with the repr was a guy was unhappy with 1.2 moa.

If you are concerned with accuracy get a DI gun and don't drag it through the dirt. The m110 is di for a reason...

People buy whatever is hot because they can and don't do enough research. Think about what role a gun is going to fill before you buy.

By the way the pws is considered a brake, not a flash hider. It does okay at hiding flash but that is not it's primary purpose.

The M110 is DI because thats what Knight's makes, and it has it's share of problems. All my 5.56 LWRC rifles are sub-moa. My REPR is approaching 1/2 moa.

Re: Got to spend some time with a SCAR 17 yesterday

i do like the scar but the mag design suxs and cost of...fn made a dumb move on the mag ,we have m-110 mags in the system ..why a new mag design like jap 7.7 ammo troubles ...i like to see somebody make a new lower unit with ar trigger and m-110 mag well -after this i would get one too ..so anybody have fab shop on the site that do this they would make a good gain and help owners of the scar ....

Y'ever shot one?

It's fine if you like Dirty Interior rifles more, but don't insult our intelligence. Chainring's REPR and my own are neither the result of a lack of research or want of a status symbol.

KACs are works of art and fun to look at, and I'm sure they handle aces, but I'd think of them as the first example of a "status symbol" brand.

My SCAR shoots German and Port surp 2 MOA and have yet to shoot correct for twist 155 grain MATCH. You can bet your ass it will break 1 MOA even with the 6X scope.
