With the warm days the woodchucks have been out . I missed the first at about 110 yards with the 17 hmr . Drilled the next two , one with 10/22 the second with my G19 at about 15 yards .
Saw lots of digging looks like a bumper crop .
Anyone else been getting them yet?

Also shot 2 on Saturday. One at 244 and another at 344. Both with 6.5 creed.

Dope and zero was a bit off with new scope, so took the leg off of the second hog with the first shot at 330ish and then corrected on second shot at 344 to the back of the noggin

I have multiple thousands of acres of corn, bean and hay fields to hunt them on until about September when everything is too high. Great practice and still one of my favorite things to do. Farmers love it too.

Nice shooting ; yes it’s great practice and fun as hell. And those little hogs will wreak havoc on crops and gardens . Must eat their weight every 48 hours

It really is shocking what they are capable of if left unchecked. Hawks, eagles and coyotes can only grab so many.

Beyond the crop damage is the damage to large farm equipment. Nothing is flat in my parts of PA, so if you get a group of hogs together connecting their holes, farm equipment will get sucked in and tip over on the hillsides where the holes cause subsidence.
