Granit slab for scale

I see a few people mention they put there scale on granit slabs. Where what size and how thick? Do I just go to a place that makes counter tops and look for leftovers?

I use a graanite sink cut-out. Get a round bubble level from Lowes or HD and stick it on. You can also epoxy on some rubber feet

I have a granite top company down the road from me as well. You could probably do a little dumpster diving and get all you need. Most of the time , they toss all the cut outs. Mine allows me to grab what I want. I build small wrought iron end tables or pub tables out of their junk. When I offered a few beans for it, they told me they get charged by the weight for waste removal so I was doing them a favor and didn't except any $. So I drop off beer now if I go diving.

I too use a granite slab, for my scale-meter combo unit. Works fantastically, for such a simple thing.

Stable, is good.

I assume all that's for a digital, not a good beam scale?

(Amusing the trouble people resort to get those quirky electonic wonder tools to work!)

Called them they said come by jump in the dumpster take what you need. So I have a good size pice for free. Thanks again guys
