I have some friends in London who've been working on this one for almost 2 years - looks exciting!

Yes, for most films, but then there are films with a huge amount of VFX work involved and they can take longer than most. "Avatar" was close to 3 years in production, for example. These days it's pretty common to break-up the film into sections and pass them off to different companies to do the work, that way a film like "Ironman 3" can be shot in a few months and all of the VFX can be done in another 4-6 months. There are also films that run into problems and have the post-production schedule drag out longer at considerable expense. That was the case with "The Day After Tomorrow", which took almost a year longer than expected to complete and required more than half of the VFX to be completed then redone by another company. Yeah, production management fail ;)

Hehe, no one's forcing you to watch his movies. But if you're going to make it a prerequisite that actors and directors in Hollywood share your views, why stop there? Do you ask the gas station owner you fill up at if he share's your views? What about the taxi driver who picks you up at the airport? What about the people who wrote the vBulletin software that Sniper's Hide runs on?

Meh. My hatred is really towards Clooney. He's strongly anti gun, but has no problem making violent movies that involve him using guns.

That's my attitude. As long as these people are given a higher platform for their views then I have the right to boycott the stuff they are in. The guy at the gas station or the software developer doesn't really get any more attention than me so I can tolerate their opposing views (although I would probably still boycott them too as long as I can find alternatives).
