I recently sent my Remington 700 in to AO to be re-barreled, threaded, and the action trued. Before I get to the rifle, I can't say enough about AO's customer service. After discussing with Woody what I wanted done, I was quoted about 6 weeks, but 2 weeks later, I get an email saying that the rifle is ready to go out. That same day, I got a call from Mark, the owner, making sure that everything I wanted done was done. The package arrived a couple of days later.

Remington 700, trued
24" Krieger barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor with AAC brake indexed.
AICS 1.5
Jewell trigger, Atlas Bipod, AAC 7.62SD-N6
Nightforce 3.5-15x50, Spuhr mount, NF base
Barreled action done in Chocolate Brown and Armor Black Cerakote by me

I had it out this weekend for sight-in and break-in. 20 rounds each of 120 and 140 hornady factory ammo. Wow, does this thing shoot! 5 round 100yd groups under 1/2 minute, with a best approaching 1/4 MOA with the 120s. I can't wait to see what some load development gets me and to stretch this thing out a little. I'll have it out to 600 next weekend, then further over the holidays.

Anyways, very happy with the results! Only problem is that I have a bunch of good .308 brass and bullets sitting unused. I think I'll be back in touch with AO for a barrel, stock, and action after the new year.

That is a beauty! Also you did a great job on the paint. Would like to see the 600 yard results. About how much does the entire rig weigh? I would assume you must have practically no kick.

Thanks! I look forward to the 600 yd results as well. I have a feeling I'll be pretty happy with them as long as I do my part.

I haven't put it on a scale, but comparing it to a known weight rifle, I'd say around 13 pounds, maybe. The scope and the can really balance everything out and with a loaded 10 round mag, its pretty neutral just forward of the magwell.

As you guessed, recoil is nearly non-existent. Between the weight of the gun, the brake and suppressor, and the already mild 6.5CM, its very soft shooting!

I'd be more than happy to take that 308 stuff off your hands! Hahaha... Very nice system. I thought that color was Patriot Brown at first, looks good with FDE skins!!

Thanks for the offer, but then I'd have to come up with a new excuse for another rifle, lol.

I considered Patriot Brown, actually. I've used it on several guns, but for this one, it was actually too close to the FDE skins, IMO. Imagine Patriot Brown as midway between the two shades of brown on my rifle. I was looking for more contrast, so the chocolate brown worked out pretty well.
