Grendel barrel life

So I’m working on a 6.5 Grendel build. I’ve read that caliber is really hard on barrels. Can anyone out there tell me what to expect from experience? Any idea whether CrMoly or SS barrel would be better? Thnx.

Relatively slow and low pressure. Why would it be especially hard on a barrel?

I would think that barrel life would be extremely high. Pretty mild cartridge at slow speeds with low operating pressure.

Definitely better barrel life than a Creedmoor, and that is not bad at all.

Grendel's easily have a 5k-8k barrel life.

You’d be hard pressed to wear it out in your lifetime. It’s like my 6x45. Barrel life lasts a loooonng time.
