Since we advertise our training services here, we wanted to make sure everyone was aware of our current relationship with PayPal. Please read the following announcement that was posted to our Facebook page last night.
We here at Grey Group Training have always put a premium on ensuring our customers convenience as well as security. We feel that we have the best customers in the world and strive to provide excellence in all of your needs. Given today’s ...political climate, we feel the need to draw your attention to a difficult decision that we have had to make recently.
For almost 7 years, we have provided PayPal as a means of payment. They have the same values when it comes to protecting customers in a convenient manner. However, we were recently informed that because we have Magpul PMAGs available to purchase, we are in violation of their terms of service. Actually, the terminology used was “magazines with a capacity of more than ten rounds” and the only magazines we offer are Magpul PMAGs. Their solution to keep from losing our access to this means of payment for our customers was to stop selling PMAGs. For any other business, this might not be a difficult decision. However, we are Grey Group and things are not always black and white.
Our position has always been one in which we do business responsibly. We abide by all Federal and State laws when it comes to any and all firearms accessories and even work with manufacturers to ensure there is clarity for any questionable items. We have offered PMAGs for sale since we opened our doors.
After reviewing their terms of service and finding no explicit agreement that we violated, they have forced us to evaluate whether or not we are going to allow another company to dictate what we are legally allowed to sell to law abiding citizens. This is not just a 2nd Amendment issue, as magazine capacity at its base is something that is a relatively modern concern. This is an issue with an already regulated market and whether or not a company should have the right to dictate what consumers are allowed to purchase legally with their own money. This is something that they have been pushing across the entire tactical industry recently without much pushback. We will not be extorted for our support of our 2nd Amendment rights.
Given the circumstances, we have decided to no longer do any business with PayPal. We understand this will be inconvenient for some of our customers and please know that this decision was not made lightly. We are continuing to evaluate other payment alternatives that still allow for a convenient and secure alternative to credit card purchases and in the meantime, we are more than happy to attempt to assist any of our usual PayPal customers over the phone.
As always, we thank you for your continued patronage and look forward to consistently providing only the best customer service to match the needs of the quality of customers that we have come to love. Regardless of what branch of service, part of law enforcement, or freedom-loving backyard you call home, we will always be here for you!
