Last time I was in Jellystone (1992), I witnessed one guying walking out into a meadow to try and spank a Buffalo. Seriously. We had our 4 year old daughter with us, so I drove on. I didn't want her to witness what I thought was going to happen next.

I also witnessed parents pushing their kids to within 8 or 10 feet of Mountain Goats, encouraging the kids to "pet" them. The kids were screaming bloody murder. They were smarter than the parents......

The level of stupidity that I witnessed was mind numbing.

If you've never seen a full-grown bull Alaskan moose, you have no idea of their size and power. If I were a grizzly, I'd look for an easier target.

Glacier National Park. I've stood in that exact spot 3 times. Glacier is my favorite place on God's Earth.

I was up in Butte one summer visiting my wife's uncle Billy. After dinner we went for a walk behind his house on an old abandoned rail road track. We were just walking along talking when I saw some movement out in the trees. It was a cow moose. I had never seen a moose before. But the sight of something that was taller than me romping around made me think 'Ho Lee Fuc'. We shut up immediately and started walking backwards along the tracks for quite a while and then high tailed it back to Billy's.

No doubt about it, that bear f'd up big time. He's lucky he wasn't turned into a wet spot on the pavement.

Now if that happened, I'd love to hear the comments from the tourists who think 'Nature' is so cool, before they get back onto the bus.

My wife, stepdaughter, & I camped for a week in Yellowstone several years ago so we will probably only spend enough time there to get my sons a junior ranger badge. But Glacier is on our bucket list fo sho

Not sure I'll do Glacier again. My knees are shot. I only want to do it if I can hike and right now that's off the table. I've got a torn meniscus in my left knee and no cartridge in my right. I've been struggling with pretty big lifestyle changes at 44 years old. Hoping I can get stuff working again. I'm not sure what to do with myself if I can't be active.

I've gotten in a shoving match with a goat, on a cliff in Glacier, I,ve been 6 feet from a Grizzly. Truly my favorite place. Did a solo trip in early 20s, dragged my wife there on my honeymoon, and did a road trip with my oldest son when he got his license. Son was the best trip, I could do the harder trails. Even a moderate trip can be fantastic, you just need to know what to see. Also a couple outfitters outside the park are fantastic. Good slow horse tours, white water rafting... my son jumped off a 30 ft bridge with the rafting guides... It's a wonderful place.

Some friends of ours grew up there. Every time they go back to visit they post pics to the facebag, then my wife sends me Zillow posts for houses in the area. I always tell her that I can have my shit packed, the most important shit anyway, in a weekend.

The next video shows people not 10 feet away from a mother and her calf. Talk about stupid. Sadly, if an animal kills a tourist, they get terminated as well. THAT is what pisses me off.

Looking at the pit bull vs Bison. Anybody that's ever had a dog of at least 45 lbs can attest to how strong they are...and they are domesticated. Pit bulls being among the strongest. Now, ramp that intensity and muscle up a few orders of magnitude and you have yourself a grizzly, bison, moose, etc.

Also, unlike human parents, these mothers protect their offspring like what it is...the continuation of their species and their bloodline. It's really easy to look at animals and go...wow..that raccoon is stupid...but really, it makes you wonder who and what stupid really is!!

I saw some kid run towards a cow elk and her newborn in Estes Park, the town just outside Rocky Mountain National Park. My parents were in town so we went up to the park. There’s a golf course in town that has more hoof traffic than foot traffic, especially in the fall. There was a family getting closer from a visitor center so they could get some pictures. This 16yo started running towards the herd. The cow saw him and squared up immediately. He slowed down but didn’t stop. She took a few quick steps towards him and he stopped(unfortunately). I told my mom to get her camera ready, this was about to get good

Find a good Surgeon. Knees and hips are easy these days. Had both my hips replaced. Easier than getting your teeth cleaned.
