guns stores not essential, ordered closed

I'm a bad person. Part of me feels no sympathy for people going into a crisis with no gun. Of course another part or me recognizes that even those people have a right to acquire one.

Very much in agreement. While it's nice to see California "collect what they deserve", the Sheriff shouldn't have the right to not allow people to defend themselves. Hiring additional deputies to patrol and write reports wouldn't give me much comfort, of course we all know people should plan for problems, and have what they need on hand.

By looking at the long lines waiting to get into gun stores, makes me think they are essential. I'm just guessing that most are 1st time gun buyers and if they were anti 2nd amendment , this just might change their way of thinking. Maybe change the way they vote! The powers that be don't want that.

Funny, my LGS is open AND has ammo, weapons and parts in stock. Maybe not the shit I use but it's there.

This is NOT your typical WA county though. People are being smart and considerate for the most part. Only a few people allowed in small stores, screening for sick people, etc. They're all already well armed here though.

These lines and the rush in these cities, these are the people that wanted to take your shit last week. NOW they realize how fucking dumb they were, or maybe getting close. Fuck them, and for a moment, fuck their Rights if this scares them into realizing what Rights are and why we won't give 'em up.

I for one would feel pretty fucking stupid living in a million dollar house and no way to defend it.

From my perspective overall, it ain't the rich people that are prepared, it's just the opposite.

Nj said hold my beer and closed all gun shops and shooting ranges (public and private) in the state. Because Democrat douchebag governor is bought and paid for with Bloomberg money...

The private ones should should tell him to eat a dick. My private ranges will remain open regardless of what some tyrant says.

Have any of the kings men here said they they wont before these laws ?

One of the private clubs I brlong to is closing per the order from the Governor. THe other posted on their official website that they're closed as per Governor order, but the club president is a local police chief, so he said he's not going to investigate reports of noise at the club...

Ordered closed and being closed are two different things.

just have to pick it up out of state them .

That doesn't work in most states. Most states require a resident license to purchase in state, or they ship to a FFL (closed) in your state.
What I don't know is if you can go to a neighboring county outside of LA and buy and walk out. You should already have this stuff, but not having it is not a license to be robbed, raped, or worse.

On a side note, I spent an hour last night setting up a temporary hide. Always good to know what you have, where it is, and check the zero.

The article on Pennsylvania is a bunch of crap.
The governor says that they can do business by appointment only and have to protect employees and practice social distancing.
Fuck him and the other tyrants that are running around on a power trip.
If Walmart, Kroger's, Walgreens and others can stay open and not have to be by appointment so can your gun store. One business is not different from the other. Well I am sure that the tyrants get substantial amount of campaign money from the larger businesses.

I don't have any guns, ammo, or toilet paper but my local gun stores sold out of everything last week. Even the liberals were in to buy guns and found out they had to pass a background check and the system was down. Several had to wait for 2 days to get approved but it proved a point to them and countered the BS they thought they knew. They originally thought they could order a gun online and ship it to their house also. Maybe this has been a eye opener for some liberals?

I find myself in the same situation.

Would seem that Maine's Dbag Dem governor went out of her way to specifically close the Kittery Trading Post. For those that don't know the place it's a huge store that sells all kinds of outdoor gear, cloths and firearms. They have a couple thousand different rifles, handguns, shotguns and black powder guns in their display cases at any given time plus a good cache of ammo. The KTP considered themselves essential, but the Gov't thought otherwise and made a special order to close them down. You know, cause guns......

Hillsborough County here in Florida just issued a Safer-at-home order.
Gun stores and stores that sell ammunition have been deemed essential.
Yaaay. Too bad they are damn near empty.

I went to BPS last night to let Matthew get an inexpensive Spear gun.
Snagged a couple pounds of H-4350 and some 147 ELDM.

Gun ranges are closed... ☹

AL closing non-essential businesses starting tomorrow night till April 17. Includes "sporting goods stores" which I assume means gun shops.

ETA - just talked to friend that owns LGS and apparently stand alone gun shops can remain open but places like Academy, Bass Pro, etc to close. Seems pretty vague. Wonder how much compliance/enforcement there will be?
