I took a bolt apart, while I was in a hurry. I stepped on the back of the firing pin, by accident. It is slightly bent.

Does anybody know a superb gunsmith, who can fabricate a new item ?

I need to have the bent item fabricated.

Thanks

Re: Gunsmith for a bolt

Call Scott Null at S&S Sporting. He is one of the top riflesmiths in the country.

He will make or find what you need to get your rifle shooting. This guy is fantastic. I'm a retired Gunsmith and Scott is the best I've ever seen, and I was a darn good smith, so I speak from experience. He specializes in 1000 to 3000 yd Bolt rifles, but works on most anything. You bolt guys that like the really long range shooters, Scott has the unofficial 3000 yd record with one of his guns shooting 10 shots under 24" at 3000. It was a club shoot, not NRA or it would be official. He also designed the bullets and had them CNC made from Bronze.
You can reach him at 208-313-0715.

Best Regards, John K

Re: Gunsmith for a bolt

Think you will need to dismantle the firing pin assy and straighten the pin. Might also need to buy a new FP or have one machined...

Hope you get that fine rifle back in action soon.
