There is that extreme machining place in Grassflats, PA?? i think that is where it is. They make the .338 EXTREME!! lol its EXTREME
looks like a great cartridge and caliber but it hasn't caught on.
Not sure if they do any smithing work though. Worth a look and a call though.

+1 for kevin at Montour County Rifles. I have shot with him at some varmint matches and he is a good guy. Also check out Mark King (Duncannon PA). I don't know if he would work on a savage or not, he's mainly a bench rest gunsmith who likes to work with custom actions. His guns flat out shoot though.

Mark King of Mark King rifles is your man.Not only does he do all of the work on my guys sniper rifles but he is also a active 1,00 yard competitor.
He is the best in the area if not the state or even in the country.It's a 1 man shop so you know he does all the work personally

I would check out Dave Wells at Wells Custom Gunmaker. He is excellent at what he does and one of the nicest guys I have met.
