Looking for some help on a new 224 Valkyrie build I am working on. Looking to use a SLR Sentry 9 adjustable gas block with a +3 gas system and need a handguard that will at least partially cover it up...puts me in the 16.5 to 17 inch range I believe. Sentry 9 needs a minimum 1.4 internal diameter. Located in Canada which makes it tougher to find but could export one without a lot of trouble. Could also reduce the profile and run a Sentry 8 instead. Are there any fat and long small frame handgaurds that will fit? Curious what other guys are doing with similar builds. Thanks.

I run a 15" on my +3 gas. Block sticks out front but I don't mind at all and actually prefer it so that I don't have to worry about issues with gas block clearance inside foreend. Here's what it looks like at 15" handguard.

At 16" long, about 1/3 of gas block is covered (used ruler to see how far it needed to extend).
