Are these available for AI AXMC Short action ready to go or only blanks that need to go to a smith for fitting?

Blank form only, currently. Hardy tells us to expect AI prefits this year, but no closer estimate just yet.

It's approximately a med/heavy palma. After the Palma-style step down forward of the chamber, it's 0.935" all the way to the muzzle.

Blanks are no problem. AI prefits are still a little ways out.

The Alamo rifle at the top of the thread is 7.9lbs. The barrels obviously vary based on specs. My 24" 6.5 medium/heavy palma is about 2.5-2.6lbs.

My bad, yes the weight of the barrels themselves. Is there just one contour available for the carbon fiber barrels? Curious on the weight of a 26" finish .308.

Can't actually spin them up at this time. We can definitely point you in the right direction, though.


Clint, for a remington/similar, you're looking at about 2.7lbs.
Hardy's recommended contour is the Med/Heavy palma I spoke about, but they do custom contours as well.

Not at this point. That being said, we can get you a blank and you can get someone like Accurate Ordnance, Mile High, or Dave Tooley to fit it for you.
