Harris bipod pads

My first attempt at a krylon camo job ended badly so I stripped everything with brake cleaner... and the rubber pads that go between the bipod and the stock came right off with the paint. I think the brake cleaner ate the adhesive.
Anyone have this happen?
More importantly what should I use to get them glued back on?
Any advice would be appreciated.
So far I thought of using super glue, or 3m spray adhesive, but there is probably something better for the job.

Re: Harris bipod pads

Thank you everyone!
I think I'll try the RTV. Ive used gorilla glue on other products and haven't had great luck with bonding very smooth things with it. I have a bunch of RTV from automotive projects so I'll use that.

Re: Harris bipod pads

3M spray adhesive is what I'd use. Spray both parts with two light coats, let it tack up before spraying the second, and let the second tack up before sticking the pieces together.

Trust me, it won't peel off.....

Next time wait for the stock paint to FULLY cure before attaching the bipod back on.

There was a time 3M only made the yellow stuff. We called it gorilla snot because when it got on your hand you couldn't get it off.

+1 on the gorilla snot. Only thing is it seems to have an affinity for things you would prefer it didn't stick to. The black color is an improvement at least it's not as noticeable as the original florescent green stuff.
