Gunsmithing Hart MAX hunterclass countour????

Re: Hart MAX hunterclass countour????

Hope this is the one you wanted.

Max HV
The largest contour permitted by IBS & NBRSA for the varmint classes, which is a straight taper used for HV rifles (1.250" for 6" X .940" @ 26").

I don't think this is the HV contour. Bruno's says .690 but doesn't say what lenght. I called Hart and she said it was a straight taper to .750 but she didn't know at what length either.

Re: Hart MAX hunterclass countour????

Just remember that the weight limit , at least in the I.B.S. is ten pounds and the stock is a good part of that. I shoot I.B.S. hunter and varmint hunter and dont think you can beat the McMillan hunter stock. Remember too that they must have a working magazine which calls for an open bottom action like the Stolle Kodiak, which is what I use.
