I just got my rifle back from the builder and started to load some Barnes 115 tsx bullets for the gun. It is chambered in 257 ackley improved.

when I got the bullets out of my box it said for 1/9 twist or faster.

has anybody ever run these bullets in a 10 twist?

the accubonds were blowing up on me every time with the previous 2506 ackley barrel.

    thanks

I used them in a Ruger No. 1 in .257 Weatherby with a 1/10" barrel, and they worked very well - accurate and effective. Killed everything from zebra and gemsbok on down in Namibia in 2019, and I wasn't even pushing them hard at all.

I have a 10T 25-06AI I shoot the 100gr TSX at about 3550fps with great success, one of my favorite combos for killing years things. I have a box of 115s in the cabinet haven't had a chance to test them yet. I wouldn't worry about the twist if you can push them hard.
