I've been in contact with YHM, have my NFA trust ready to go, and am trying to find a dealer in my state that sells these.

The only thing this can will ever see is my 300 win mag and my SPR 5.56, and I'm wondering what to expect on the 300.

Have any of you tried this, is it hearing safe, what was the recoil reduction like?

How do you have that many posts in that many days? The YHM 762 is as about as good as you are going to get with the current state of the art.

Jeff, I still cant make sense of what you are saying.....

YHM Ti Phantom is a good can for the money, but its not the "best". There are several cans right within its price range that are better. I like their QD feature but the mounting system is extremely old technology, I wish they would upgrade. It can be hard to remove the suppressors after use/carbon build up.

I would for sure take the Ti phantom over the steel one, that is a lot of weight savings.

I couldn't make any sense of it either, and I am aware that YHM is far from "cutting edge".

I'm still wondering if anyone has actual experience shooting 300 win mag through the phantom.

SAS Ti Arbiter is hard to beat for the money.
But like I said from the start, I own a Ti Phantom and it wouldnt be a problem to fire a few rounds but I can tell you now from its lack of volume its going to have a pretty sharp tone.

Re: Has anyone actually shot the phantom Ti on a 300?

Thanks for the reply. What do you mean "sharp tone"? Will the phantom ti be hearing safe on a 300 win?

I looked at the SAS cans, they look nice and I like the thread over muzzle break design, but they don't have inconel. The YHM does, and I figured that would be a little extra protection against the heat if I run it on my AR and get a little trigger happy.

Re: Has anyone actually shot the phantom Ti on a 300?

Ti and high rates of fire do not mix..... the properties of the metal do not like rapid strings of fire. 30-60 rounds in 5 minutes and it would have to cool off for awhile. Inconel or not, I would not use a Ti can on a semi auto/high rate of fire platform.
