It wouldn’t take many shots to knock the threads loose.... wouldn’t recommend. At least give it some torque with a tool if you want to hot swap.I was just wondering if anyone has put there barrel nut on hand tight switching them at range? I seen guys doing hand tight barrels with no nut but just curious if anyone has tried this?
Yes those other barrels were shoulder so yeah i should of thought that threw more lol nevermind thenIt wouldn’t take many shots to knock the threads loose.... wouldn’t recommend. At least give it some torque with a tool if you want to hot swap.
I usually do 40 ft but i was just thinking for easier swapNo, I wouldn't do it. I usually tighten the barrel nut and tighten it to the next spot on the nut. It's not too tight, but not sure if you could loosen the nut without a vice.
Don't forget the anti-seize.I usually do 40 ft but i was just thinking for easier swap
I have done that before. Might go back to thatHead space it with red loctite and pin it. Then treat it as a shouldered barrel.
Having to use the go gauge and headspace it will be a pain, you can't repeat it precisely, IMO.
