Your points regarding Vance may well be correct but they are 100% moot. The candidate that will or will not do something about immigration is DJT or KH. We know what both have done to date so focus on the reality of the situation rather than being concerned about Vance.

It's even simpler. Cover the front of the RDS with tape.

You'll find out immediately how good both your index and your target focus is.

In daylight / low light you are picking all kinds of reference from both eyes as to where your pistol is. In the dark, you're either grooved or you're not. And one eye in a straw isn't gonna do shit other that find that POA.

In fact a standard NS is far easier as the glow is visible to your peripheral vision at all times. The dot, if the angle is wrong at the high 2, that error will grow as you extend. Make sure to include some fun stuff too, like pick the weapon up off a table / the ground. The dot is very much harder to work with in the dark. Reference beyond how the gun feels in your hand is largely gone in the dark.

I’m about 3/4 blind so yes red dot has made me a much much better pistol shooter

The more some people talk, the more they demonstrate how they aren't where they think they are. The black-out dark hypotheticals are a dead give away.

Most don't know how much/little the "greats" are at checking in with various focal planes and not paying attention to what matters and ignoring what doesn't. The "front sight....front sight" mantra has fucked new shooters. It's important but not the whole story.

The human body can point to what it's looking at so long as one has moderate hand-eye coordination. Good pistol shooters in general don't need multiple check-in points. If one requires that, they aren't in a position to be extolling the virtues of any aiming system on a theoretical scale.
