    Maybe I'm the last to know, but I was perusing Valdada's website this afternoon and one of IOR's newest 2.5-10x42mm scopes caught my eye. This little beauty has quite the list of desirable features;

    - 1st focal plane
    - 0.1 mil clicks
    - Illuminated MP-8 reticle.
    - List price $1185.00

    It seems like it would make a great mid-range tactical scope for a 223 bolt rifle or AR platform. And if it had IOR's new larger elevation knob, it could certainly expand its capabilities to some 308-based cartridges.

    It is nice to see IOR put illumination in their FFP scopes. I believe this is the first time I've seen this. I hope it continues.

    I wonder what Scott @ Liberty Optics can do about the price? I wonder if he could get IOR to upgrade the elevation knob?

    And if I had stumbled across their 4-14x50mm model with the same features . . . the wallet would be open.

    Scott was selling them for a while at a really good price but he doesn't seem to have had them listed on his website for a while. I wish the turrets were better but otherwise, yeah, it's a nice little option.

    I debated between this and the IOR 1,5-8x for my LMT AR15. The 1,5-8x won out because I can use it like a red dot for CQB and still have enough magnification out to 300 meters or so. Either one is a very nice unit.

    glock24,

    Brother, this is old news. There is a new exposed turret model arriving soon. I sold the above scope for $899 delivered for quite awhile. It has been a solid and reliable performer.

    But they are gone.

    One of the few safe bets in a used IOR, though. I've taken two returns on these in 4 years.

    I bought mine from Scott. Great scope, especially for $900 (I paid more for mine). I don't know how I feel about exposed knobs in the coming soon updated version though.
