Recently finished up some covers for the hawk hill talons mainly for when you want to transport or set your rifle on things without the extra grip. They seem to be going over pretty well. They are made from a TPU by additive manufacturing (3d print) which is like hard rubber but a little less tacky and still has give and flexibility to it. Hardness is 80 on the shore a scale for the hardcore. These twist on and are removed with a twist while pulling. While not necessarily designed for it I have been shooting off them and they seem to be holding up well. Check em out at jklprecision if you think you could use em.
