So I've been wanting to film some of the gun comps and desert outings that I've been doing and bought a Contour HD mini video camera...
http://www.vholdr.com/
It's a decent small camera, flash based drive, light and full 1080p HD. The other camera I was looking at was the Go Pro Hero HD...
http://www.goprocamera.com/
After opening it, I was satisfied with the features and picture quality but I found the mounting system to be worthless. It's so poorly made, I snapped the main mount in two trying to remove it. After a looking at all the options I found this:

It's a real deal camera mount. No joke that thing is built like a brick shit house. I wanted to be able to mount the camera on my carbines and rifles as well as a helmet so I can run different POVs, so it's imperative that the mounting solution is flexible and removable. What I like about the Cam Clamp is it's fastened to the helmet or other mount with this industrial velcro called 3M Dual Lock. That stuff is no joke.

I ordered the Cam Clamp and wasn't let down. It's as strong and well made as it looks, it's also really light (tho doesn't look it). In no time, I had it mounted to my helmet. (It looks pink in these pics but it's really more of a reddish color)
Then I had to figure out a way to mount it to my carbines. So I had a broken optic and cut the picatinny mount off it. (Can you guess what that's from?) Then I attached the super velcro and voila.... Gun Mount!
Here is the beast mounted....
Will let you guys know how it runs in the field.
