Headstamp ?

Just ran across a bunch of 40 & 45 brass and I'm trying to figure out who manufacturered it. It's headstamped *I*. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I pick it up and reload "I" brass. I belive it is manufacturered in India. Here's a link to some info that might help in the future.

*I* is a headstamp used by CCI/ATK, Lewiston, ID ... IIRC it was labeled Independance Ammunition Co.

If the "i" (without serif) were sideways between the asterisks and curved to be concentric with the ejector rim, it would be Star Line brass. Think cattle brands.

That makes a lot of sense. It looks a LOT like CCI brass.
