That's hilarious. I needed a good laugh...Still too early, but if the Republicans take both the house and Senate, what are the possibilities of the Hearing Protection Act seeing the light of day? It wouldn't be the first thing, but start writing your reps to get it moving before the midterms.
In the past, the Senate has used the "nuclear option" and only needed a simple majority for bills that included funding. With the NFA, specifically suppressors being a tax related issue, is it possible to fall under that umbrella? Not going to happen, the Democrats will use the filibuster in the Senate.
This isn't my part of the house but perhaps the tax related portions of the NFA for stamps for suppressors and SBR's might be workable because technically, they are related to revenue. This would be interesting and worth looking into as it would make these things cheaper for folks that already have access but won't help those that live in states that ban these items. In the past, the Senate has used the "nuclear option" and only needed a simple majority for bills that included funding. Damn, even when you guys win you can't try to be optimistic.
Murdock v Pennsylvania would be handy, but no 2a group has picked that challenge up.Don Jr. would be our only hope of influence here, but I doubt he’s enough
ETA: I think it’s more likely we see something ruled unconstitutional than a new law be passed
Kinda reminds be of the abused woman that won't leave because her will is broken.Damn, even when you guys win you can't try to be optimistic.
I am less interested in a new law being passed . . .Don Jr. would be our only hope of influence here, but I doubt he’s enough

But those are the same thing. But most gun owners would rather boast about civil war than using the system we were given by the founders
The very same filibuster that the dems wanted to eliminate. Hypocrits, the lot of them. Not going to happen, the Democrats will use the filibuster in the Senate.
No they are not. We were left many options to use before that. Most people don't realize that because government schools won't teach you how to control your masters. But those are the same thing.
