Hearing protection?

I’ve had 2 pairs of Howard Leight Impact Sports, both electronics have given out on them after about a year of light range use on each of them. They worked well for the first year though, not sure if my use is an outlier, but I sucked it up and switched to Sordins and so far so good. Those are outside of your budget though.

For $70, I’d buy a couple (3?) years’ worth of foamies.

If you can grow your budget, Sordins are pretty nice.

If you are patient and willing to go big, stop shooting unsuppressed. It will change your life.

Looking for suggestions in the 70.00 dollar and lower range for hearing protection opinions appreciated

I have 2 pairs of howard leights and one no longer works. They were fine when working though. Personally I would either spend a lot more or get the comfiest pair of old fashioned not electric ones you can find.

Howard leight impact sports w/ gel cups....best value hearing protection hands down.

....they protect better and have better battery life than my Peltor defenders....the Peltors benefit is in their electronic package....

i have 3-4 sets of the HL and they run fine.

Peltor tactical 100 is exactly what you need. Black Friday sale should be around your budget. There’s a gel pad sold on Amazon for peltors for a fraction of the price then the peltor brand and they are a nice improvement when you want to upgrade the foam to gel. We have several sets in the family and never heard a complaint yet and no failures in years.
