My name is Cristian, but all my American friends call me Cris
I live in a small tawn in northern Italy, and, even with ours draconian laws about weapon, i am a total gun nuts.
I am a lifetime memebrs of the NRA (i am still paying for it)
I am the proud owner of a Gen 3 glock 21, i am rhe super proud owner of a Night Hawk Cistom GRP Recon chambered in 10mm (hehe yes, i bought a 1911 in 10 and a Glock in 45..) and an HK MR223 which I use on close distance shooting (up to 25 meters).
Since i have switched to a range that has 300 meters firing line, i decided to buy something properly setted up to shoot at that distance (or non-distance as since most of you shoot way farther..), so i joyned Sniper Hide to learn from you all.
I hope you will forgive me for my poor English and for the noobish question I am going to ask sooner or later.
In the meanwhile let me say thanks for the incredible amount of information I have already found here.

Ohh i forgot, the setup i am looking to buy is an offering by the italian importer of Remington and Leupold (it is the same company) which consist of:
Remington 700 Mil Spec with 5R barrel (iirc ir is 24 inches long)
Leupold Mark 4 scope (iirc it is the 6.5-20X50 LR/T M1 with mill dot recticle)
Ring and base
It is offered at an "affordable" price (for our market.. Probably it is crazy expensive in the US)
It seems to me a decent package tomstart with.. but if you think i need different stuff or to complement this setup with other items (i know i will need a bipod very soon, a bag for the butstock but i really have no clue on whatelse..)
