Help Choosing a Stock - Manners PRS2 or Foundation

I'm considering a stock for my next rifle.

I'll be building a Bighorn TL3 switch barrel rig (using a Barloc).

I'm considering using either a Manners PRS 2 or a Foundation Exodus Light (non-butt hook). I do not shoot any PRS style matches, I just punch paper and bang steel at the local range. I will also use this occasionally at a local NRA highpower match. I will be using the anschutz rail in the Foundation Stock and if I get the Manners PRS2 I will likely have an anschutz rail installed as well.

Give me some opinions!

I run an MPA and have not run either you mentioned. However, I looked into both, I like the Manners for the bedding block/DBM, and it seems like it also has more options down the road. I got the MPA as it has the most continual advancement options which I love. But would also love to try the Manners.

I currently have a couple of Manners (T6A and PRS2A) both in elite carbon. I have really enjoyed them but with that being said I just ordered a Foundation Exodus.

A foundation set up with a full Arca rail and a Acra magneetospeed mount is where it’s at.

Yes about 2-2.5#. Or right around there.

I am wanting a heavier rifle now days and feel like my Manners are too light. The foundation I ordered is a standard and I will be adding weight most likely.

I’d get behind them both if I were you. Especially if you have small hands.

The foundations I’ve been behind have a longer space between the grip and trigger guard than the manners.

That’s not a detraction, just a difference. The foundations are awesome.

I have medium hands at BEST. Like in the small side of medium and the Exodus is the foundation with the shorter length from grip to trigger.

I felt like the Genesis was just a little too far for me.

I’ve been shooting the Genesis and it was fine. I have small hands. It’s all your own feel. Just got the Exodus together this week.

I’m an okie and Foundation is made by a super nice guy in Oklahoma. So I’m partial lol.

The prc will be hunting’ish is why I went with the manners on it. Also Core had a new camo that I liked!

@Kimber.204 , just something to think about if using the BarLoc is that the stock will have to be inletted for that. I actually have a TL3 with a shouldered BarLoc in a PRS1. I switched from a MPA BA to the Manners. I have large palms with smaller fingers and it fits me better

@blbennett1288 thanks for the comments. I'm aware of the clearance issue with the BarLoc. I previously had a Bighorn TL3 with a Barloc in a J Allen stock. I had to remove just a tiny amount of material in that stock as well, but only a few 100th's.

I guess I'll have to find some of these locally to get my hands on.

Anyone in the Pittsburgh, PA area have one or both of these that would let me lay hands on it? PM me if you do.

Well I bought a used PRS-1 here on the forums. I guess I was just getting antsy since my action is showing up next week. I'll try it for a while and see what I think.... A foundation may still be in my future.
