Looking to switch from my vortex pst to a horus reticle scope.

I would love to have covered turrets or atleast lockable.

I have been doing alot of reading about the HDMR and want one but there seems to be some bad ju ju going around abou them.

The next ones closely prices are the Leupold ones but they do not have lockable or covered turrets.

ALSO I would be using this scope on a 5.56 and a 308 (both AR style) which mount would you recommend?

My biggest problem is deciding if I need any cant in the base since I would be using holds versus dialing.

I read more the on the American Rifle and it seem it has QD features. I just wonder how consistant you can get the tightness

I've had great luck hunting with the horus h58 and h37. Though the scope seems busy, there's a lot of quality information at hand. Most importantly its super quick, meaning decision time is cut way down and in most hunting situations that's one of the key element to success. With so much adjustment holds in the horus reticle, cant bases seem unnecessary.

Ha ha, yeah I can't fault you for that.
