I live in macon, ga. and am looking for a gunsmith to fit and chamber a barrel blank to a rem 700. would prefer macon, warner-robins, but would go to atlanta if need be. only other option is to ship it out, which i w2ould rather not do. thanks
Re: help findeng a good gunsmith in middle georgia
Another one to consider is Robert Gradous, he's in North Eastern Georgia I believe. APA and Mr. Gradous are both premium quality guys, you won't be disappointed with either one.
Re: help findeng a good gunsmith in middle georgia
Don't know if he is still alive, much less working, buy My Grandfather who lived in Perry at the time used a gunsmith named "L.D." in either Macon or Warner Robbins, not sure as this was in early '80s. May or may not have had a gun shop called "Liberty Gun Shop". No records these days, but you might call around, If you find him, let him know Baily Harrison's grandson said hey...
Re: help findeng a good gunsmith in middle georgia
I live down in Perry, & I drove the 3 hours to see Robert Gradous. Well worth the trip & you couldn't ask for a nicer, better, more meticulous gunsmith than Robert.
Search his name here on the Hide.....you'll find plenty of great threads about him!
