Rifle Scopes HELP: Found mark? scratch? on USO glass SN3 TPAL

[Lead Heads]

When looking through my USO scope I found a small black spot on the glass. It's about the half the size of the back of a pin. I thought it might be a spec of dust at first, I cleaned the glass according to USO instructions with Acetone. Spot didn't clear up. I can't find any scratches on the glass. Also when I turn the eye piece the spot moves in the direction turned.
Can this be an internal blemish?
If so, does anybody know if it is warranted?

Yes they will fix it. You won't believe me at first when I say this but it is normal. Turn the power up and you want see it. It is pieces of the finish from the inside of the tube. Hit it like a hammer on a phone book and it will come off and get stuck in the grease in the bottom of the tube.

I also recommend hitting it against a thick phone book. Don't hit it as hard as you can, but hit it progressively harder until it disappears. This is what USO is going to do unless it just will not come off.

hey sir, I have the same issue. Have not mounted it yet. After I shoot it, I'll check and then I'll panic. Everyone tells me this is normal and this is the normal course of action. This is just part of learning our equipment. Lifetime warranty, they will make it right.

You wont hurt the scope unless you are swinging like John Henry.

I have the same problem with my new Premier except its on the reticle lens. Paul Lange said to do the same thing hit it with a phone book but it still didn't come off it also has oil droplets on the inside.. This is the second Premier with issues, the first had MASSIVE oil all over the inside.
