Nah,

More than likely you should look at the LMT MRP or the VLTOR VIS. It looks similar to my ruger upper, but more than likely not.

Re: Help identify ar15 upper

I think your mentally playing tricks on yourself. Its not a continuous rail from the receiver. It's just a standard flat top joined with a railed hand guard, you can tell by the way the picatinny grooves stop at the beginning of the top of the hand guard and then start again. Look closely.

You might also take a look at the Noveske line of AR's, They have a FFT that is similar to the Knight's URX tubes, there are so many options out there the list could go on and on as to who's it is.

LOL, you guys are kidding, right?

I'm not sure if you guys are aware of this, but these appear to be computer generated models specifically to display the Magpul products that are the numbered items pictured.

Think of them as like mannequins. Not to say that similar products don't exist, but those exact rifles don't exist.

If you don't believe me, zoom in and look at the lighting and all of the "shinny" spots on what is supposed to be flat plastic. Also note absolutely NO markings on the magwell, mfg., serial#, nothing. Plus, it's a computer image.

Wow your a fuckin genius, I haven't even thought about that!

BTW just because they are computer models doesn't mean they are not patterned after a real rifle jackass. The bottom would be a pretty good rendering of the S&W magpul edition. and thanks for your ever so useful contribution to this thread.

Let me help you.

"Wow, YOU ARE (you're) a fuckin(g) genius." For fuck sake, crack a book.

Now all incivilities and ugliness aside, everyone was straining so hard to figure out rifle it is......not what it looks like. I thought I would save some people some frustrating search engine time. It's a bitch when you see something you like and can't find it.

I didn't think I was giving the Magpul tech people too much credit when I figured they could CG any AR design in their sleep if they chose to.

And not to be totally unhelpful, if I had to make any guess on the design influence, I would say:

Mid-length rail (based on the size compared to the carbine depicted below it)
KAC URX rail (based on the point at which the upper and tube meet noting the absence of picatinny slots. Also note the shape of the rail system
I would also have to assume that the barrel would be a 14.5 with mid-length gas system based on the relationship of the gas block to the handguard and given the barrel lenght from the muzzle to the gas block and the comparison to the carbine below.
