I mainly shoot CF but I will shoot more .22 during the hot months. I recently sold my Tikka T1x which was good, but inconsistent. I typically shoot good ammo in 10-shot groups at 100. The Tikka was in the 1.25-2.25" average w/occasional sub MOA but also some over 3" so it had to go. My price range is max 2500. Eurooptic has a decent selection of Vudoo and Anschutz. The MTR would be my second CZ (600 range in .308). I'm strictly a paper puncher but I want to stretch out to 400. I have stockpiled 10-x and some good Lapua along with the usual suspects, SK match and the like. The Lilja site has 457 for under 600 so the CZ would come in around 1500. What say you? Thanks for the input.

Voodoo is probably out of the running for choices for the foreseeable future.

The CZ 457 is a pretty nice rifle with a lot of options, especially once you start going with aftermarket stuff.

Just remember whatever you get, it might surprise you as to what ammo it likes best.

Bergara B14R steel barrel only. I replaced my triggers with Triggertech Diamond. B14r does not need a barrel replacement. you can get complete guns or barreled actions. They use 700 triggers and 700 chassis. I have 2 of them, they shoot great. Vudoo is in flux right now, if you find one or a barreled action, you better grab, they want last long.

Well, officially the new owners are moving the business, but as said, it would be best to hold off on new ones until/unless they become a known quality product again.

Officially, have they really said anything? Nothing on their website, or their instagram or their company FB page. Just the ones screen shot from a FB Group

Yep, I read about it on Canadian gun nuts page...swirling the drain started 1 year ago...it seems the original owners were fired and the personnel were fired. What a shame. Well... I'm down to 2.
If it was me. Rather it is me currently. I’d get a CZ 457 or B14R. If you’re not happy with the accuracy you can swap the barrel or even buy planning change it anyways and watch for a deal.

My 18” B14R on the last outing shot put 29/30 shots inside 1 MOA at 100 yards with SKLR. Those guns tend to shoot well with SKLR and it’s relatively cheap compared to some other offerings.

457 would be awesome as well. I just ordered a B14R heavy to try out but if either B14R isn’t shooting good enough when I test at longer range I’ll contact Modacam, DI or DPG and have a true match barrel fitted to them

I’ve been looking and watching a ton of videos on what to do for rimfire next. The pursuit of accuracy channel on YouTube is a good source as Josh who is also on this forum does a ton of rimfire stuff there

From videos and groups I’ve seen I don’t think a lilja would be a huge step from something like my B14R. However the real custom stuff those guys put out are hammers in comparison

Everything I've heard is that the CZ 457 MTR barrels are great, I wouldn't rebarrel one unless it wasn't performing the way you want. Unfortunately, Vudoo isn't wise at the moment. The B14R can be accurate, but isn't as nice to operate as a 457; it does get you into the R700 accessory pool which can be nice.

Can't speak to Anschutz.

I find the B14R bolt clunky, very clunky. I'd go Vudoo/RimX or CZ 457. I have 1 of each. Got rid of the B14R. Vudoo and RimX have modacam barrels, and CZ is up next.

I planned on doing the MCR workup front so I bought the cheapest CZ I could find. If I was looking at cutting costs, the MTR probably is the best shooter out of the box with no mods.
